When the world was blessed with the news of the creation of a successful vaccine, the UAE stepped forward and worked towards rapidly providing the vaccine for a majority of its population. With a clear vision and precise planning, the administration in the country has facilitated its citizens will all the amenities required to keep the citizens of the country safe and healthy. We all pray and hope that the world heals from this virus enabling the community to once again, cherish their professional and social life to the fullest.

The success of art events organized by the galleries are based on various factors some of which include the reputation of the gallery, the organizing capabilities of the people behind the working of the gallery, associated artists and the participation of distinguished personalities. One of the most important factors that calls for special recognition is the support extended by the distinguished personalities from the field of art and from other segments. These great people make the time to grace these events and to interact with the artists to aid them in honing their skills while providing them with valuable insight after careful analysis. They have dedicated their life for the wellbeing of the art fraternity and their unconditional contribution will always be a treasure for the art industry. This is the beauty of art in the UAE, we are gifted with the presence of such a supportive and encouraging community that always pushes artists to think beyond their comfort zones and to find their true calling.

One of the first onsite events, since quite a long time, was curated by one of the best and most well-reputed galleries in the region on the 25th of January 2021 at the extravagant ambiance of Novotel to commemorate the 72nd Republic day of India which is celebrated on 26th January 2021. Ms. Shiba Khan and Ms. Farah Khan, the founders of Funun Arts, didn't have to think twice about giving a title for their exhibition and dubbed it as 'Rang' which is a Hindi word that translates to 'Color' in English. India, being the largest democracy on the planet, has a population of 1.3 billion and is home to the most religiously and ethnically diverse range of traditions and cultures that are widely celebrated with great enthusiasm and it is this simple reason that led to the great acceptance of the title 'Rang' for an event curated to celebrate India's vivid culture. 'Rang' was rich with the participation of 30 Indian artists who showcased 60 artworks that depict the staunch patriotism of the artist towards their country while stimulating a similar sense of togetherness in all those who witnessed these creations. All participating artists expressed their love and admiration to the country by portraying various themes from all across India and each artwork was a unique interpretation of the artist's imagination.

As told, each artwork was not created to simply be visually pleasing but instead, they were created with a purpose to communicate, both emotionally and visually, with the viewer. The artworks displayed at the venue were vibrant in colors and they were created in distinguished mediums. Traditional art to modern art, each creation had its own element that made it stand out from the rest and this kept the visitors engaged and on their toes to know the story behind each work. Be it alluring landscapes, works depicting the colonialization of India by the British, striking abstract creations, scenes depicted from religious scriptures, beautiful postures of classical dance forms and calligraphy art, each artwork displayed had an inspiring story to magnify its beauty manifold.

Their initiatives towards social and noble causes for the betterment of society has enabled Funun Arts to curate some inspiring events to support and reach out to those in need. Curator of 'Rang' and founder of Funun Arts, Ms. Shiba Khan says "The symbolism of color stands out and controls every aspect of life in India, it can be religion, politics or festivals. In India, even if it's from the north, south, west, or east, color and culture go hand in hand. Just like many other cultures across the world, there are some typical classifications of color to be found in India. Being an active part of this community we believe that art is not only paints and canvases, it is also a form through which you can communicate without holding back and that brings about a sense of positive energy which is priceless."
